Gretchen Goldstein and Sequoia Fahey invoke Woody Guthrie to Prevent Privatization of the Tongass

Gretchen Goldstein, Sequoia Fahey, neighbors and friends of North Prince of Wales Island have been struggling for 6 years to keep their local watersheds from being privatized.

This inspirational video and radio commentary by Sequoia and friends is at the heart of what it means to be sustained. To love to live close to the land and waters of southeast Alaska. To do so is to realize our fates are directly connected with the fate of the forest community and its connections with the sea.

That is precisely the spirit of grassroots conservation for which GSACC stands in solidarity with.
